Serenity Accounting and Consulting was started in 2018 by Daelene Daniel and Deborah Hooper, shortly after a huge transition in the family. With Debbie's experience in public and private accounting and Daelene's experience in management, the journey began. With a leap of faith, they hit the ground running and have not looked back. At the start of Serenity, there were only 2 operating employees’, over time the company has expanded into a family owned and operated business with a total of 5 full time and 3 part time employees. Our goal is to become a part of our client's team to provide the best service possible.
Deborah Hooper is a founder and part owner of Serenity Accounting and Consulting. Deborah started her adventure in the bookkeeping/accounting field 1979 working for several small businesses during the first several years of her career. In 1988, Deborah started working in the public accounting field working with small to medium companies in Client Services, she brings 30+ years of knowledge and hard work to the company. Deborah has worked with many types of companies, including doctors, dentists and other medical trades, retail, manufacturing, mortgage, restaurants, and the construction field. Deborah loves working with business owners and their team, helping them get their books and creating procedures to help them to continue that process. Her motto is if the client is successful then we are also successful. She loves to spend time with her daughters and her grandkids. Deborah loves God, she loves to experience creation by taking road trips and traveling the world. Most of all she loves the water, that is her calming place, a place to let her stress wash away.
Daelene Daniel is a founder and part owner for Serenity Accounting and Consulting. She has 15 years accounting experience and 5 years as Director of Operations. Daelene helped found Serenity Accounting and Consulting in 2018. She is a problem solver with a focus on creating efficiencies whenever possible. She has four amazing, adopted children and two cute basset hound fur babies. When not working, she enjoys spending time at the beach. Daelene loves playing board games and continues to expand her collection at home.
Dana Hooper is an Accounting Specialist for Serenity Accounting and Consulting, with over 20 years of experience in an office setting. She has worked in accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and inventory management. Dana is great at multitasking, completing multiple projects and duties while meeting deadlines. She is always willing to jump in and help when needed. Dana started work with Serenity in August of 2021. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her daughter Autumn and son Robert. When she is not working, she enjoys attending her son’s sporting events and hanging out with her close friends.
Autumn Horton is an Accounting Specialist for Serenity Accounting and Consulting, with over 3 years’ experience. She is a highly organized individual with strong judgment and critical thinking abilities. Growing up in a hardworking family, Autumn has always had a special drive for staying focused and paying close attention to detail. Autumn began working as an administrative assistant with Serenity in their first year of business. Over the years Autumn has worked in many professions to gain new experiences and learn new skills. When she is not updating financial transactions and reviewing reports, Autumn continues to experience and learn more about business. She loves to draw and would love to expand her abilities to digital design.
Caroline Hooper brings a strong background in client and customer relations to her community. As a dedicated professional, Caroline leverages her experience to provide exceptional service. Caroline is not only committed to her career but also treasures quality time with her family. Raised in Gulf Shores, Alabama, she enjoys exploring the picturesque beaches and local attractions of Baldwin County alongside her husband and daughter. With her local insights and enthusiasm for coastal living, Caroline is ready to support businesses in managing their finances effectively and efficiently.
Jeana Jordan is an Accounting Specialist for Serenity Accounting and Consulting, with over 3 years of bookkeeping experience. Jeana works hard to get any job done as quickly and efficiently as possible. She is quick to answer her phone and help whenever she is needed. Jeana began working with the business in early 2020, at the start of Covid. She was thrown into the bookkeeping world at the beginning of SBA loans. She got her feet wet by making sure our clients' books were completely organized. When Jeana is not helping clients get their business in line to qualify for any necessary loans, she is spending time with her boyfriend and her 6 incredible children at their home in Theodore, Alabama.
Chris Hooper has joined Serenity Accounting and Consulting as the Client Acquisitions Manager and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, with over 7 years of customer service experience and corporate leadership. He currently continues his work with Starbucks as a store manager and has done extraordinary work for 5 years. He has worked to open brand-new locations, bring struggling locations back to performing ability, and has dual managed many locations. He has worked in close to 15 different stores in the South Alabama area. Chris is also a Store Manager Trainer; he ensures that all leadership is in top standard and that the team understands their roles. He has remained in the top performers in all the locations he has worked in. Chris and his wife currently live in Daphne, they love to spend their free time enjoying local nature trails and markets.
Billy Daniel joined Serenity in 2023. He is a jack of all trades with experience in everything from home inspections and project management to inventory management. When he is not working, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and wood working.
